Seventy-four (74) bucks have been nominated to the 2010 Western Maryland Pasture-Based Meat Goat Performance Test.
Nominations were received from 20 consignors from 12 states: Delaware (5), Illinois (5), Kansas (5), Kentucky (13), Maryland (8), Missouri (2), North Carolina (5), Ohio (2), Pennsylvania (10), Tennessee (5), Virginia (11), and West Virginia (3). Six consignors are new.
In addition to the mostly Kiko and Kiko cross bucks, three Boers, three Myotonics, two Savanna, and several miscellaneous crossbred bucks were consigned to the test.
The nomination deadline was May 15.

Nomination deadline drawing near
So far, thirty-seven (37) bucks have been nominated to the 2010 Western Maryland Pasture-Based Meat Goat Performance. The capacity of the test is 70. Nominations are requested by Saturday, May 15.
Nominations have been received from the following states: Delaware (5), Illinois (5), Kansas (5), Kentucky (10), Maryland (3), Missouri (2), Pennsylvania (2), and Tennessee (5).
Most of the nominated goats are Kiko and Kiko cross. There is one Boer, three Myotonics, and one Boer x Savannah cross. There are two new consignors from Kentucky and Tennessee.
You do not have to nominate specific bucks.
